Installation Service

Icopal Monarflex Geomembranes Contracts Division offers a full installation service for all gas
barriers and gas control systems. Our unique combination of pre-fabrication facilities and
specialised installers enables us to deliver rapid ‘right-first-time’ installations of gas control systems
for domestic and commercial projects.

Installation Sequence

Icopal Monarflex Geomembranes recommends gas barriers be installed in one operation, this
minimises the risk of damage to the exposed membrane and reduces installation costs.
In some cases project constraints may require a three part installation process:

• First Fix – Monarflow 27 venting layer installed and connected to extractor pipes, as necessary.
  
• Second Fix – a width of membrane is installed to the perimeter of the building.
  
• Third Fix – immediately before the structural slab or floor screed is laid the gas barrier is installed within the building and joined to the perimeter membrane.
  

Monarflex gas barriers are robust and will withstand reasonable foot traffic following installation, but they should be covered with subsequent layers of the construction as soon as possible.
