Icopal covers all the ground with new Geomembranes Guide

The first, single guide to all three of its geomembranes portfolios - gas, damp proofing and containment - has been launched complete with samples by construction membranes specialist Icopal.

"Membrane power" details how Monarflex Geomembranes are not only manufactured and guaranteed for life by Icopal but, as one of the few such companies to have its own directly-employed labour force, installed by the company as well.

The guide celebrates Icopal's 20 years at the forefront of barrier and containment mem-brane technology and manufacture that now positions the company as the UK's leading manufacturer of reinforced polyethylene construction membranes.

Complete with tactile samples of the key products, the guide details the systems available in the gas, damp proofing and containment portfolios.

Gas membranes include Monarflex RAC, a premium hydrocarbon-resistant membrane; Reflex Super for high performance against ground gases and moisture; CO2 membrane for protection against radon, CO2 and water vapours, and RMB 400, a traditional radon pro-tection membrane.

Damp proof membranes include Monarflex Ultra 300, a 0.3mm thick reinforced membrane, 0.3mm thick Monarflex 1200 Gauge DPM and 0.5mm thick Monarflex 2000 Gauge DPM, all of which can be jointed through either extrusion welding or use of Monobond double-sided tape and accessorised with Monarseal self-adhesive membrane .

Containment membranes include Monarflex Blackline and Gridline, LDPE and reinforced LDPE membranes respectively; Besogard PVC liner, MRB500 Japanese knotweed barrier, and Terrex T200 geotextile.
